“My husband and I took this tour, wanting some history, geography and context for the WWI battles fought here. Our guide, Soren, hit it out of the park. Incredibly knowledgeable and full of interesting stories. Any questions we asked just led to more interesting information and stories. The places we went to were all over - we can't imagine trying to do this ourselves without a knowledgeable, local guide - we would have missed so much. We really appreciated the pace and communication. Can't recommend this guide or tour enough!”

Private 4-hour Ypres WW1 tour with Soren covering Hill 60, the Messines mines, and the Christmas Truce sites.

“We took what was nominally a 4-hour tour. I had one specific memorial I had hoped to see and several others that I had hoped might be worthwhile. From this limited input, Soren came up with a wonderful combination of sites for us to explore. He gave us ample personal time where we needed it and provided a wealth of information along the way, touching on many aspects of Flanders that I knew to a limited extent, despite having done a fair degree of family research. Our tour took substantially longer than planned but Soren cut no corners!”

“Soren was an outstanding tour guide and made my visit to the Ypres Salient truly memorable. He took me all across the area, visiting the key WWI sites, and his depth of knowledge was exceptional. He explained the history clearly and thoughtfully, bringing the events of the First World War to life with context, detail, and respect. His passion for the subject really showed, and he was happy to answer questions and tailor the tour to my interests. The experience was not only informative but also deeply moving. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to understand the history of Ypres and the Great War.”
